Mark Heffernan
Scout Bio’s CEO, Mark Heffernan, has nearly two decades of experience in human biotechnology start-ups and animal health R&D. As a founding partner and CEO, Heffernan has raised over $150,000,000 in private and public capital raisings and built successful global teams to execute drug discovery and development, including Nexvet Biopharma, which was sold to Zoetis in July 2017. Dr. Heffernan also serves as CEO for Stonehaven Incubate, a Switzerland-based incubator of translational opportunities to bring promising human technologies into animal health applications.
Caroline Collins
Caroline is a practicing Vet with over 15years experience and is Clinical Director at Pennard Vets. She believes in finding new and better ways to care for clients and their pets. It is this drive that has lead to constantly innovating and exploring Industry-leading advances to deliver this
Dr. Stephen Barabas
Stephen Barabas is a graduate of Glasgow University. He is an Honorary Laser Consultant at St Thomas and Guy’s Hospital in London. He runs two companies: a human medical company, K-Laser UK Ltd, working with the NHS, sports franchises and private healthcare using Class IV K-Laser therapy (treating diabetic wounds, acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain syndromes). VBS Direct, providing innovative equipment to vet practices and animal rehab specialists. He lectures and continues to set up research projects to improve our techniques and medical equipment to improve quality of healing and pain management.
Dr. Thom Jenkins
Thom is the Co-Founder and CEO of PetsApp - a client engagement platform for veterinary clinics. He is a vet by training, and has managed veterinary groups both in Asia and the UK.

Prior to Digitalis, Victoria led growth marketing and product strategy at a number of human health startups in SF & NYC (Nurx, Ava Women), taking these companies to their first 100k customers. As a former operator, she’s a hands-on investor that enjoys supporting portfolio companies on hiring, growth and product roadmaps.
